PreCYdent project for an open and free Citator
PreCYdent is working hard to create a Citator that will indicate if citations are positive or negative, that is, if they, for example, affirm a precedent or, on the contrary, overrule it. We believe our technology and other advances make it possible to create such a service. The PreCYdent Citator will be an important addition to such commercial citators as the Shephards and West systems. Our approach will also embody wiki features, so that users will be able to contribute to enrich the information.

States cases on PreCYdent.com
PreCYdent is happy to announce that it now has in its database over 90,000 cases from the state courts of Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and New York. These cases are available in the original pdf format, and may be read, downloaded and printed at no charge. You can also search within the pdf document by using the search bar at the top of the pdf document that will appear if you click on the pdf logo next to the case title. All of these states are updated daily, so you can access the latest decisions from all the courts in these states that report their decisions on the Web. You can see the latest opinions by using the "Chronological" search ranking option. Often a new case appears on PreCYdent on the same day it is published on the Web. PreCYdent is working hard to create a free library that will cover all 50 states and which will be constantly updated. To search in a particular state or states, click on the "detailed search" option, and then click the "Specify" button that appears. This will take you to a menu where you can choose the state or states you want to search.
